Intense tropical cyclone hits Mauritius

The storm brought with it heavy rainfalls and winds of 120 kilometers per hour. In Port Luis, the capital, the wind peaked at 151 kilometers per hour. Thousands were left with no power after trees were knocked down on the power lines.
