Unusual heat waves in the Arctic and Antarctic regions

Last Friday an unusual heat wave struck both the Arctic and the Antarctic regions. In the Arctics, 30 degrees Celsius above average was felt, while in Antarctica 40 degrees Celsius above average was measured. This event is very unusual as the seasons in the polar regions are different.
