Uranus is a giant icy planet rotating on its side, with 13 rings, 27 moons, methane atmosphere (that gives it its blue-green color), and no surface as it is made from swirling fluid. Only one mission (Voyager 2) in 1989 was made to Uranus, and the rest of our information about it comes from telescopes like Hubble. NASA’s new mission, that will launch in about a decade, will focus on the mysterious Uranus.
