The Barabaig tribe – from hunters to lion defenders

The Barabaig tribe live in Ruaha National Park, Tanzania. The lions in the park were hunted by the tribe in fear for their herds and their own lives. As the number of lions dwindled down to under 40,000, people of the Barabaig tribe now work to protect them.
