Sea corals hold an ‘anti cancer’ compound within them

A common species of soft coral found by Florida has a natural compound that is a promising compound in the cancer treatment field. Identifying the source allowed scientists to find the DNA code that synthesized it. Soft corals contain more compounds that are anti-inflammatory and antibiotics.
