The Finnish sand battery that could be the hope for a greener future

Finnish researchers built a ‘sand battery’ which can store green energy for months. The battery is charged with heat and kept at 500 degrees celsius, which can warm homes for an entire winter. Sand is a cheap, green way to store energy unlike the common lithium batteries used today.
