Fossils of a great ape found in Spain

A lower jaw fossil of a great ape (also known as a human-ape) was found in Spain. The fossil is 1.4 million years old, making it the oldest fossil of a great ape found in Europe. The species known as Homo antecessor lived in Africa from about 2.33 million years ago.
