AI could give an early tsunami warning

Scientists from Cardiff University developed a system that uses AI to classify submarine earthquakes and determine if there is a tsunami risk. The system’s algorithm uses sound recordings to determine the magnitude, length, width, uplift speed, and duration of the submarine earthquake and evaluate the tsunami risk.
