From plastic to tiles – how Egyptians fight the Nile’s plastic pollution

TileGreen startup in Egypt is taking plastic waste from the Nile and turning it into tiles and compact bricks that would be used for walkways and garages. The 24-year-old co-founder claims the bricks are twice as strong as concrete.  Egypt’s plastic pollution problem is very big, and this is a very positive step forward in waste management and recycling.
