One in five reptiles is facing the threat of extinction

A comprehensive assessment of over 10,000 reptile species around the world concluded that one in five reptiles is threatened with extinction. The study took over 15 years to complete because of funding issues. losing all reptile species means 15.6 billion years of phylogenetic biodiversity would disappear.
