Coyotes may be the ones to save the red wolves from extinction

Red wolves are under a critical threat of extinction, with only 20 left in the wild, and 240 living in zoos across the United States. Coyotes have a significant red wolf ancestry. “Ghost Genes” found in coyotes may help preserve the red wolves population.
