Microbes unknown to science are thriving in a lava cave in Hawaii

Scientists found microbes, unknown to science, thriving in geothermal caves in Hawaii. The caves get very little sunlight and contain many minerals and toxic gases. The microbes can only be seen with a microscope and they can endure extreme temperatures.
