Are Great White sharks the cause of the mighty Megalodon’s extinction?

Megalodon is a shark species that lived from 22 million years ago to 3 million years ago. Its size was a whopping 18 meters. Great White sharks lived at these times and were competing for the same food, which may be one of the reasons for the Megalodon’s extinction.
