The most ancient DNA to ever be sequenced is 2 million years old from northern Greenland, which was warmer then. The DNA revealed a world full of plants and animals with average temperatures ranging between 11 – 19 degrees celsius. The DNA was extracted from the soil in a process that took years of extraction and analysis.
