Greenpeace published a report for shark day showing fishermen from Spain and Portugal fishing at areas in the north Atlantic where young sharks swim. The shark population had decreased by 70% in the past few years, mostly at risk in these areas are blue sharks. Sharks mature sexually at a late age and have very few pups, fishing young sharks is detrimental for sharks.
