‘Sponge gardens’ will be declared as a marine protected area

‘Sponge gardens’ are areas by Natanya’s and Atlit’s coast that have a big diversity of marine animals, mostly sponges. The area is 82,000 dunam and it is found in the deep sea. The area will be declared a marine protected area.
