The surprising similarities between human’s and octopus’s brains

In research on octopus’s brains, scientists have discovered they have moving DNA sequences that transposition in their vertical lobe. The human brain’s hippocampus, which is responsible for memory and cognitive learning, also has these “jumping genes”. Researchers believe this finding might be the key to understanding why octopuses are so intelligent.
