A sad day for the ocean’s biodiversity – The UN high seas treaty meant to protect the ocean and the life inside it, did not pass after two weeks of discussions. The ocean covers two thirds of the world, yet only 1.2% of it is protected, outside the 1.2% protected area, its marine life are facing fishing and pollution risk, causing a mass marine extinction.
